Well, it’s officially the end of freshman year at Hofstra for Catherine. As I type this, she’s likely taking one last look at her final paper, written in the wee hours of this morning, and getting reading to take her last final.
I’ve ceded my “home office” til August.
We’re on our way to the market to stock up on all the food we didn’t eat while she was gone, then to Hofstra to help move her out of the dorm.
The year has meant learning and growing experiences for all three of us. Unsurprisingly, the most important lessons have had nothing to do with academic subjects — but that’s a blog for another day.
We’re bringing home a more mature, independent young woman than the one we left in Hempstead, NY, in August … plus all her “stuff.”
It ought to be an interesting summer.

Congrats! Nice photo!
