Flashback Friday — Let the Summer Fun Begin

It remains damp and chilly here in the Northeast despite a weather tease earlier this week that had us thinking about installing the window air conditioner in Catherine’s bedroom upstairs.

It rained overnight, and the skies remain threatening. In fact, it looks like a washout until Memorial Day on Monday.

Still, I’m trying to look at the sunny side, this weekend being the unofficial start of summer.

In keeping with that, I present this photo of me, age 3.

Judging by the pail and cup next to me, this day undoubtedly included some sandy adventures. And lots of time splashing in the Long Island Sound.

I’m betting there was a PB&J sandwich, a peach or a plum, and maybe some Oreo cookies involved, too.

Hope your weekend is lots of fun. Happy (almost) summer!
