Today’s Flashback is a small attempt at solidarity with our friends in the Buffalo area who, it seems, will spend all winter trying to tunnel out of this week’s lake-effect snow storm.
The photos are from January 2001, a sledding excursion at the International School at Dundee in Riverside CT, where Catherine would start kindergarten later that year.
As I scanned them, I realized, too, that the photo story perfectly mirrors the adventure we’ve shepherded her to this past year.
Ready to go — but first a pose for the paparazzi in our new Lands End snow gear.
Dad helped on the first run downhill.
Then it was time for a solo effort.
