Something old, something new

A quick post amid the Saturday morning silence … before the chaos begins.

We Vanech girls are each ready for our busy day. (Well, at least I’m out of bed!)

Had a blast last night at practice for today’s 70th annual Blue Key/Band Night Celebration in Port Chester, NY, last night. What fun to play again and see so many familiar faces. Can’t wait to get back to it today.

Here’s some of my gear for the day, which starts with another rehearsal in two hours.

And here are some of Catherine’s accessories for the prom later (you didn’t really think I was going to show you the dress yet, did you?).

Looking at the two shots, I’m struck yet again by the divergent, yet complementary paths she and I are traveling.

She’s making memories. I’m reliving them.

  1. Enjoy your adventures! Friends and I relived our high school days last weekend at our 50th Reunion. And we don’t look a day older than we did at graduation! I’ll be thinking of you tonight while we’re at the Greek Festival in Danbury.
