This house on Lewelyn Road in Stamford made the big time Monday with an appearance on ABC’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight,” but we stopped by Saturday evening for a peek in-person. It’s most definitely a labor of love for homeowner Tony Pampena who greeted visitors dressed as Santa and handed out candy canes to the kids.
I can’t even imagine the hours of planning that go into these displays…not to mention the work and expense. They must get such a kick out of the folks who come to see it, especially the kids.
That looks like Bill checking out the last tree!! Probably studying it to see if he can duplicate it in your yard!! 🎄🎄
yes, that was Bill! The homeowner is very nice. Doesn’t want donations for the electricity — just wants people to refer their friends to visit!
What fun for the community. When my grandkids were little, we’d drive around in the evenings and check out the decorations. There was one house in a nearby subdivision that was lit up in this vein, and we called him Clark. Sadly, he moved away. Hats off to the hours and days of hard work this family put in to bring that spectacular to the local children. 🙂
Yes, we do the same, and have visited this home before. Funny the things that become traditions!
