60 Years and Counting

Happy birthday to my terrific husband, Basil, who today turns 60!

Basil’s birthday kicks off 12 months of milestone celebrations for the three of us (more on that coming soon) — but only if we can convince him to cede the floor.

You see, we’ve been celebrating him all month, ramping up the festivities in recent weeks with dinner and a show in Manhattan (The King and I) and a quick trip to San Francisco that started with work for me and ended with  whirlwind tour of the city for the two of us, during which we managed to eat our weight in chowder and sourdough bread.

Those of you fortunate to know Basil know what a terrific person he is — fun-loving, generous, quick with a joke or wry comment, and a good sport for jumping in to any plot twist I cook up (and there are many!).

Join me today in showering him with an avalanche of well-wishes.

  1. Happy Birthday, Basil! Someday we’ll actually meet, but until then, see you on FB and in Terri’s posts.

  2. Happy, happy birthday to our Skinny Bill! We couldn’t have asked for a better son than you. Terrific father and husband. Sense of humor that knows no bounds. Generous. Super chef. Hard worker. And you would be the first one here if we needed help.

Hope this new decade you’re entering finds you healthy, happy and enjoying life to the fullest.

And I hope the Bird of Paradise doesn’t do a fly-over and poop on your cake!!! 🎂💩💥💫🌟✨
