Full of bologna

Who says there’s no free lunch?

There was today for one of Catherine’s campers, a new little guy in her group of 4-year-olds.

Catherine left her bag lunch on the table and went to collect his hot lunch. She returned to find him swallowing the last of her bologna sandwich.

“Oh, no, sweetie,” she said. “That’s not your lunch.”

“Sorry,” he said, handing her the plastic sandwich bag before devouring his own plate of food, and leaving Catherine to her banana and celery sticks.

  1. I too wept on reading the words, ” I am Jennifer Elaine Clarke”. I read them when they were first posted and revisited them again today.

  2. Poor Catherine! Bet she won’t leave her lunch on the table again! If I were closer, I’d bring her one of the cookies I made this weekend — Turtle Caramel Bars — no eggs!
