Flashback Friday — Beach Baby, There on the Sand

One of Catherine's first trips to the beach, in 1997.

One of Catherine’s first trips to the beach, in 1997.

The weather here in Southwestern Connecticut flirted this week with a bit of summer and naturally got me thinking about the beach.

This photo never fails to make me smile. Taken in the summer of 1997, Catherine was just over a year old and not sure she wanted to TOUCH the sand.

Love those chunky arms and legs — and that I was then still in charge of choosing her outfits.

She will not forgive me for posting, I’m sure!

  5. Oh those memories, I often look at my children’s pics when they were babies and reminisce. Making their decisions for them brought so much peace. There’s a lot to be said about them growing up. She will forgive you…maybe in a few more years. 😉
